Come worship with us at 11 pm on Sunday night for the Candlelight Christmas Eve Service, a joint worship service with Grace Bible Fellowship. It will be a wonderful way to begin our Christmas around the Lord's Table. At 1125 Terra Nova Blvd., Pacifica. |

I have a small Design Studio that was experiencing little new opportunities the last couple months, so I began to worry as Christmas approached - would there even be a Christmas, would bills get paid? However, the Lord answered my prayer with the task to build the Vista Del Mar site. My first thoughts were that everything should be the best that technology has to offer. (For often it seems, God get's the left-overs). I'd like to pass on any praise for building the site, and ask that all thanks go to Jesus. - Daniel |

Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.
Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.
Remind us, Lord, that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.
Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together...
Heavenly Father, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love. |

We never seem to have enough time. Whether it's our professional lives, personal lives, extracurricular volunteer activities - you name it - we seem to find ourselves short on time. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. That's all the time we get. Of course, we spend 2,080 hours (give or take sick time and vacation time and overtime) working for a paycheck. If we're lucky, we spend 8 hours a day sleeping (I'm a 5-6 hour a night guy myself). We allow ourselves at least 2 hours a day to get to and from work. We spend a couple of hours a night watching TV. We might spend a couple of hours a day on the computer, whether online or playing games or - gasp - doing work from home. We are constantly chasing time. Or the lack thereof. |

Welcome to Vista Del Mar's new website! It is still a work in progress, but we hope that you will give us your feedback on how to improve the site. There is an active calendar which will be updated regularly as new events are scheduled, along with brief announcements and news that will be posted. We also plan on having sermon downloads available soon as well, and hopefully newsletter-type features about our community. Feel free to contact us with your suggestions. |
